By Scott from Phoenix on 07/13/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Too little light output for the size and bulk of the lantern. Oddly, while brought to look at, it does not light up the area.

Super Bright, Super Tough By Otter_Mary from Fort Collins, CO on 04/08/2009 Best Uses: Camping, Emergency Household Light Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed a nice lantern for camping, this is perfect. Might not be as good for actual BACKPACKING, because it doesn't compact very easily. Perfect for car camping and inside your tent!
Okay, but not great, led lantern By Baja Dave from Granada Hills, CA on 04/01/2009 Pros: Compact, Reasonably bright, Seems fairly durable Cons: Light is not even, Not as bright as I'd hope, Takes 4 "D" cell batterie Best Uses: Emergency Light Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm sure there are better lights on the market now, with more light, and more diffuse light. And since the prices are coming down, this one is probably not a great buy. The 4 "D" cell batteries should make it last a long time, but also make it heavier than an LED light needs to be.
By Susan from Santa Barbara on 03/30/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is an LED lantern, so it gives alot of light without running down the
batteries right away, as a florescent tube would do. It also has a handy
hook for hanging.
