Nice knife. Big for daily carry By John from St. Louis on 10/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Easy To Use, Sharp Blade Best Uses: Daily Carry, Road Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice knife. Well made in Seki, Japan. The VG 10 steel holds an edge and is easy to sharpen. It is a lot of knife for having a short blade. You can get a lot of leverage on the thick handle and the short blade is really wide. I keep it in my pocket everyday. The only problem I have with it is that it is pretty scary looking with its wide spear point and grooved handle. Ive pulled it out to open boxes in front of people and they looked at me like I pulled out an ax.
Quality knife that has great looks also. Spyderco has a great reputation for a reason and this knife is a reason why.

Another quality Spyderco product By BocaGeorge from Boca Raton, Florida on 09/13/2009 Pros: Excellent quality, Seki Japan precision, Sharp Blade Cons: Handle a tad heavy, Handle slippery Best Uses: Every Day Carry Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The stainless handle has been discontinued & replaced with a G-10 grip on the new models & although the stainless makes the knife a little unbalanced due to weight, it sure looks cool & is a terrific bargain. It is beautifully made & I'm very happy with this purchase.

By Biker Bill from Snohomish, WA on 09/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Durable, Easy To Use, Fit and finish, Sharp Blade Cons: Fairly expensive, Quirky shape, Shape limits usefulness, Short blade Best Uses: Campgrounds, Chores around the house, Day Trips, Road Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This knife is definitely a conversation piece. The unique shape, high quality, and sharpness make it an eye-catcher. However, in my opinion, the shape limits the usefulness of the knife. There are a lot of equally sharp, compact blades out there that are superior in terms of usefulness. Nonetheless, I think it is a valuable addition to my collection and a knife that I will use a lot, thanks to its uniqueness.

[...]. Oh well, win some, lose some.Nice design, with the ball bearing lock, but I suggest looking elsewhere for a quality knife.
