Get this while you still can! By David from Santa Monica, CA on 11/16/2009 Pros: Compact, Discontinued, Durable, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade, Versatile Best Uses: Deep and discreet carry Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: a Byrd (subsidiary of Spyderco) make of the Spyderco Spydercard. Since the spydercard is now discontinued, this is your only chance to get a similar knife while you can. Great for a deep discreet carry in your wallet. Great quality from Byrd as always.
By survivalist from new mexico on 10/29/2009 Pros: Compact, Sharp Blade Cons: Awkward shape, Difficult closing, Uncomfortable Grip Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: it's hard to find compact and useful in the same package. unfortunately, this isn't it. If you are a collector, it makes an interesting ornamental, but I see little practical use for this blade.
By The Giraffe King from Giraffe-land on 10/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable Grip, Compact, Good Weight, Sharp Blade Best Uses: Day Trips, Survival Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I expected a lot, and Spyderco delivered!
Bang for the buck, one of the best buys I have ever encountered.
Knife is extremely flat, extremely light for an all-steel knife.
By Grant from Albany, NY on 10/12/2009 Pros: Compact, Easy To Use, Good Weight, Sharp Blade Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: easy for daily carry but not necessarily the best all around knife. For example, wouldn't be a great whittling knife
By jake from el segundo on 08/26/2009 Pros: Compact, Sharp Blade Cons: Needs two hands to open, Odd closing mechanism Best Uses: Road Trips, Survival Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: have many spyderco knives, thought i'd try one from the byrd series to see if the quality was the same as the usual high quality of spyderco, appears to be... nice thin package, but needs two hands to open, did not particularly care for the closing mechanism (seems a little awkward). nice rounded edges for pocket carry, unusual look, but a nice knife.
I would buy this product again By j2thap from Irving Texas on 08/25/2009 Best Uses: Backcountry Camping Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I liked the look and easy opening
By Forest Gump from Montana on 08/17/2009 Best Uses: Backcountry Camping, Day Trips Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Flat as a pancake, fits nicely in pocket. A bit larger than expected in closed configuration because blade doesn't tuck into handle very far when it folds in
By Ranger Bill from Los Angeles on 08/10/2009 Pros: Compact, Durable, Sharp Blade Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Handle has sharp edges. Not really a pocket knife. For workbench or utility use.
