By Tri ing Mum from Maine on 07/06/2009 Pros: Durable, Good zipper, Warm Best Uses: Colder Water, Swimming in open water Describe Yourself: Beginner Chest Size: Feels too small Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a novice Triathlete, this is my first wetsuit. After reading other reviews, I ordered a size up and glad I did. At 5 foot 2 120lbs. a medium is a good fit. The suit is tight but supposed to be. I can move my shoulders and the buoyancy is just right. Our ocean is 57 degress, I am able to stay in the water for 30-45 minutes and am warm as long as I keep moving. I think this is a great choice.
By mf from Massachusetts on 07/02/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual User Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Based on feedback on some other sites I ordered a size larger than the sizing chart indicated. I was at the upper end of a small but went with a medium and it fits really well even though the sizing suggests is for people slightly taller and heavier than I am.
By moby from Kodiak, Alaska on 06/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly Cons: Hard To Put On Or Off Describe Yourself: Beginner Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am 5'6", 132 lbs. and I got the medium. Other than the legs being a bit short, it fits wonderfully. Add 15 lbs to your body weight and order that size, because the sizing chart runs small.
By Rach8K from Bozeman, MT on 06/22/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Durable, Warm Cons: Hard To Put On Or Off Describe Yourself: Casual User Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love this suit - and such a bargain! No harder than any other wetsuit to take off. Does run a bit small, I am a sz 4-6 and the medium is a good fit.
By k from san juan island, wa on 06/17/2009 Describe Yourself: Beginner Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: i actually had to send it back. i am 5'7" 145lbs and a medium seemed to fit well all around (a little tight but manageable) except it ended up being like capri pants. otherwise it seemed like a very well built suit. solid stitching and quality neoprene.
Very nice - small to sizes By Brodiebert from Fort McMurray, AB on 06/16/2009 Best Uses: Swimming in open water Describe Yourself: Beginner Chest Size: Feels too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am an entry level triathlete, tried this out in the lake for my first swim, kept me very warm and provided lots of extra bouyancy. I was between sizes, I am 5'4" 130 pounds, so I opted to go for the Medium. The medium lists as being good for someone that is 5'9", I think this suit would barely cover thier knees as it is midway up my calf. Also as I am at the low end of the weight suggested for this suit and I could barely get it on I think someone that weighs a little more would have difficulty. If you are at all unsure go for the next size up. Lastly, as with all womens wetsuits, it was tight across the shoulders as we women are not supposed to have upper body strength.
Hope this helps,
Happy swimming!
By Triathlete from WI on 06/15/2009 Cons: Awkward Fit, Hard To Put On Or Off, Too Hot Best Uses: Colder Water, Diving Describe Yourself: Casual User Chest Size: Feels too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'd suggest spending a little more money for a better model.
this wetsuit runs really small By Triathlete from Pacific NW on 06/13/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual User Chest Size: Feels too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: product runs ridiculously small. I am 5'4" and 115 lbs.... the small-medium was way too small. I know a wetsuit is suppose to fit snuggly but I couldn't even zip this up! The size chart is way off.
great wetsuit for triathlons By Itri from Cincinnati, OH on 05/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Put On And Off, Warm Best Uses: Colder Water, Triathlons Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice entry-level wetsuit for triathlons or open-water swims. Had no problems putting on. Taking off at the ankles and wrists requires a little tugging, but not worse than other wetsuits. Chafed a little around the neckline. I am 5'2", weigh 105#, ordered a small, and it is a little big around the core. Just used for a race in very cold water and it kept me warm. Great value.
Small shoulders, as usual. By Tri_T from Washington,DC on 04/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual User Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use wetsuits for triathlons in the mid-Atlantic, where all of my races have featured lake water in the low sixties. While this suit has innovative stretchy stuff under the arms, it's still too small in the shoulders. Like any other womens suit I've tried, the shoulder area is very narrow..which makes the neck very uncomfortable as well. I am tall and thin but have broad shoulders. This all amounts to discomfort in each swim stroke and breathing while horizontal. I've tried mens suits too; they're usually great in the shoulder but have too much room in the chest.
Any woman with a normal (narrow-shoulder) body type would probably love this one though. Very warm and comfortable in that case. My race buddies all wear this suit and love it.
