Lole Jacket - too thin for a soft shell By twa from Carthage, NC on 06/17/2009 Pros: Great feminine cut, Stylish Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted a true "soft shell" jacket for a trip to Argentina in the winter (temps from 40-60 degrees F). It was much too thin for that. My 21 yr old daughter liked it and took it back to college for chilly and wet weather, she liked the cut and didn't mind that it was very thin.
By Active life from SF, CA on 06/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It's light weight. Nice rich color and is slightly fitted around the waist. You can be very active in this jacket, as it stretches!
By Horsewoman from Marin Co. Calif. on 06/14/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Stretchy comfort Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Perfect summer weight jacket. It is exactly as described. As with all the other Lole jackets I have bought, the sleeves are cut a good deal longer than average, which I like. Seems the people at Lole are designing for a slender build with a long torso. If this describes YOU, then you will be happy.
ok- not as thick as anticipated By Jane from Indiana on 06/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I was surprised at how thin this jacket was. I was anticipating a soft shell like my kids had from an outdoor retailer, but this is thin, like paper. Really just a windbreaker and I can't imagine it has any insulating value whatsoever. Lole is a nice brand and it was nicely made. They do run pretty true to size. I made the mistake of ordering up, thinking I would need length in the body based on a previous lole purchase I'd made, but I've sent back the first one to try the one which is my normal size in jackets. The arms are nice and long in lole products, good for us tall people. But a size up made the sleeves WAY too long for me. That never happens. Anyway, a very simple jacket, nothing to rave about, but at the right price may be worth keeping as an extremely casual extra windbreaker. Nothing more.
OK, but not quite what I expected... By cdpolcyn from metamora, mich on 06/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Occasional Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Jacket is alot lighter than what I was expecting, but still nice, fits fine. I'll probably use it mostly for work and running around town.
By Gertrude from Northern CO on 06/03/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Stretchy, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very lightweight softshell with 4 way stretch. The cut is feminine and flattering. The sleeves are long but just stylishly so as long as you don't get a size larger than your regular size. There is no lining in this jacket and the reverse side of the black and brown jackets is a gray color - visible on the inside of the hood and at the collar if not zipped all the way up. I got a size 6 brown and wanted a black. STP was out of the 6 so I got an 8. It is the EXACT same size as the brown 6. Good wind resistance and great stretch so this jacket is warm for the weight and very comfortable. The Lole Zone Jacket is very similar to this one.
Perfect jacket for Spring! By KJ from Toledo, Ohio on 06/01/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket is just right for keeping the Spring chill off when the sun goes down. Seems to be pretty wind resistant. Haven't tried in the rain yet.
By rosebud from Nebraska on 06/01/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket was more than I expected. I am 5'8" and have long arms. It fits me perfectly. I've been buying North Face jackets, but now everybody wears them, and they turned in sort of a uniform. Lole has unique, well fitting clothing for women. I own a couple of t-shirts and this jacket that I just bought. I will certainly start buying more Lole products. I love them.
By yespat from st. louis on 06/01/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish, Warm Cons: Hood closure problematic Best Uses: Casual Wear, Running Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I prefer the kind of hood closure that ties under the chin instead of the newer kind that has pulls on the side where it can be cinched. Though ok, this type of closure is not best if the wind is blowing strong. I don't know why all the good manufacturers use this new type. It seems this newer type is more costly and doesn't work as well but just looks cute. Even so, the jacket is GREAT. I just wish it had pants to go with it.
By KC from Grootn, CT on 05/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Weight, Lots Of Pockets, Stylish Describe Yourself: Frequent Exerciser Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought it a couple weeks ago. The weather is turning too warm for this jacket, so I've only worn it twice. But just enough for me to appreciate how comfortable and stylish it is. It has become one of my favorite items! I usually ware size 2-4.But with the insights provided by other reviews, I went with size 6 on this jacket--fits great (with the sleeves on the long side, for this reason I'm giving it a 4-star and not 5-).
