By Tez from Sydney, Australia on 11/08/2009 Pros: Gorgeous colour, Practical, Stylish Best Uses: Urban rain protection Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: *The fit is nice - I'm glad I got the large, as I can wear a thick fleece underneath and still have good movement. It's longer than I expected, almost knee length on me.
*The material should be windproof - I did my usual "blow test" (trying to blow through the fabric) and no air went through. This is of course at the expense of breathability, but should be ok for my purposes, backpacking Europe.
*The hood fits well, unlike other jackets I've tried.
*Raspberry colour is gorgeous. I'm going to rely on this jacket to add some pop to my backpacking wardrobe(which is almost entirely black!)
*Criticisms: mesh pockets and drawstrings are a little flimsy.
A great choice for urban rainwear.
Lole Stratus Waterproof Jacket By Stylish & Practical from California on 11/05/2009 Pros: Excellent for layering, Great for tall women, Lightweight easy to pack, Sleeves are cut long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Took the jacket to New Mexico in November. It snowed. The jacket was perfect for layering over my t-shirts and fleece pullovers to stay dry while browsing Taos and Santa Fe; is thin, so can fold up to fit into good-sized purse.
By puddleduck from Boston, MA on 10/29/2009 Pros: Almost full coverage, Waterproof Cons: Not super-breathable Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like this raincoat a lot -- it's both functional and stylish, and practically eliminates the need for an umbrella. it's not breathable the way a gore-tex jacket would be, so don't recommend for anything besides walking or moderate physical activity. (I got really sweaty riding my bike in this.) but it's great for a cold rainy wet windy day.
Waterproof, lightweight and fashionable By Renaissance Woman from Willamette Valley, Oregon on 10/29/2009 Pros: Dress it up or down, Truly Waterproof Best Uses: Hiking, Running around town, Shopping Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought the bright rose, because colors with a little blue in them flatter my pale skin. (The lime would be great on a tan.) Yesterday, wearing my new raincoat, I slid in wet leaves and fell face-down a steep driveway. To my pleasant surprise, nothing tore and the ground-in mud scrubbed out with a washcloth and a little hand soap. Good as new! I need real protection from Oregon's heavy rain, but hate looking like a water buffalo in stiff rubberized outerwear. This coat is fun and durable.
By IDOIDO from Whoville,VA on 09/26/2009 Pros: Color versatile, Hood fits well, Nice Material, Well designed and constru Best Uses: Folds into a small packag, Rainy days anytime Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I will use it mostly on my 15 minute walk from the garage to my office, especially in the Fall and Spring
By S from MD on 08/31/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Wonderful fabric and style. I love the hood and belt. A bit small in the bust, but long sleeves and great styling. Terrific STP price!
Great looking and functional By mtn grrl from CO and MI on 08/28/2009 Pros: Bottom up zipper, Hood, Light Weight, Stylish cut, Velcro adjust wrist Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Like many of Lole's products this is cut small, size up according to your needs. I have received several compliments on the style and color ( Berry) of this coat.
By Tam the working-girl from Ogden, UT on 08/24/2009 Pros: Great color green, Nice fit Cons: Arms a little too long, Material alittle plasticy Best Uses: Mediumlight jacket, Spring fall rain season Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like this coat. I normally wear a medium (6 -10), and after reading the other comments, I ordered the 10. It fits perfect. The arms are a little long, but they have velcro closures. Overall, a perfect spring/fall jacket that looks more professional (not sporty). The green color is perfect - not too bright or dull.
By Rakhi's mom from Kirkland, WA on 07/15/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: No doubt about it, this is a serious rain jacket. Carried elsewhere, for the price STP states as the original, in high end recreational equipment stores. It is a great bargain. It does have that nylon (as one reviewer put it "rubbery") feeling and look. The style is great, very flattering. However, it runs very small through the waist/chest area. I may have to return it for that reason. And the sleeves are so long I'd have to turn them up. Otherwise, appears to be a great coat and the basil is a great color. I recommend it if you can get the proper fit.
By Suz from Oak Ridge, TN on 06/09/2009 Pros: Liked the style of cut Cons: A little too "rubbery" Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this for my mother as a rainy day car coat. She is in her late 70's and the fabric would not suit her. Had it been my size I would have kept it as the style would be very versatile.
