Good lt wt shoe, beware prolonged use By Soreman from NJ on 09/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Flexible, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really loved these shoes for doing fast tempo runs and 5/10Ks and they didn't wear too quickly. However, unlike my NBs which I've used fine past the 300-500 mile mark, these shoes gave me real problems after about ~300-400 miles. Fellow cheapskates beware, don't try to wear these past their expiration date or you may end up with Achilles' problems like I did.

Can use for non-tech trails. Good for road, bridal trail, fire roads.

I can wear them on the track, dirt, road, concrete... everything feels as good or better as it should.

By Slips from Melbourne, Australia on 07/28/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Running, Speed work Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use the DS trainer for all speed and fartlek training sessions on various surfaces including track, road, grass and gravel. They fit like a glove, offer plenty of support and are extremely light weight - a great training running shoe.
The only negative is that the sole tends to wear more quickly that my normal training Kayano runners.
