By perrochet from Sierra Nevada on 10/13/2009 Cons: Difficult Lacing System, Poor Construction, Poor Fit Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Sadly all snowboard boots seem to be made in China. The quality is poor, and the lacing "system" was designed by monkeys. It is nearly impossible to tuck in the laces while wearing gloves. Far more difficult than regular laces, and there is no good way to repair them when they break(and they will break).
While these are a size 14, they are slightly smaller than my 1995 size 13 made in USA burtons. My foot measures out at 12.5.
Unfortunatly for me this is the only firm all-mountain boot in my size.
Shame on you Jake Burton! Pay attention to quality.
By Snowboarder Sam from New Zealand on 08/03/2009 Pros: Adjustability, Comfortable, Easy Lacing System, Good Traction, Quality Construction, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Was doubtful of buying these boots because of the lacing system. thought it wouldn't be as good as traditional laces but i was very impressed. holds foot in place very well.
