Comfy spring, summer, mountain boot By Geriatric pursuits from Ellensburg, Wa. on 05/06/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Aging climber Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A very comfy summer alpine boot that is out of the box comfortable with very little break in time! This boot is excellent for what it is designed; a light weight, crampon compatible, climbing profile boot, that hikes, scrambles, and climbs nicely! It is not a boot to climb on extensive snow or glaciated peaks like Mt. Rainier etc. It does not take the place of plastic cold weather mountaineering boots!
