By Hiking in Peru from Oceanside, CA on 04/15/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I went through five different types of boots before settling on this one. It is lightweight and feels great, has a lot of ankle support and doesn't take long to break in. Could use a little more padding around the top, but is very comfortable.
Best gore-tex boot I could find! By og from hawaii on 04/06/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Great Traction, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Heavy Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational, Environmentalist Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've had 3 pair of these boots or the earlier model, and the fit is good except for being a little too narrow. Once I have them stretched at the local shoe store, the fit is perfect. They are light, but stiff enough for backpacking. And you can stand in a stream and they stay dry.
