Lightweight, good contruction By jimborocks from Washington State on 06/20/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels half size too big, Feels too large Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Although I have not yet tested these boots in the conditions they were designed for I find them lighter and equipped with the same Vibram sole as many other more expensive Mountaineering boots. The sizing is off by about a whole size. I normally wear an 11 but in this boot I needed a 12. I feel pretty confident judging by the construction of the boot they will last a long time and perform well. Time will be the ultimate judge.
By Ohio climber from Heath, Ohio on 04/24/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold Weather, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small, Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Amazing value from STP! I bought these boots in my regular shoe size as an alternative to wearing thick socks, which I do not like. They are a half size small, so I allowed for this. The fit is superb and they were comfortable right out of the box. I look forward to using them for technical rock climbing as well as (short days) on vertical ice.

They performed spectacularly! No blisters, no sprained ankles, and most importanly, no wet feet.
By LMM from Anchorage, Ak on 04/03/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Long Break-in, Not Comfortable Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational, Environmentalist Sizing: Feels half size too small, Feels too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are very narrow - my toes get numb and the bottoms of my feet feel hot if I have to wear them for very long...obviously they don't fit me well :( If you can get them to fit in terms of width, they are durable, well-made boots.
