Very versatile and comfortable By Elizabeth in Virginia from Arlington VA on 10/01/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm 5'4" and generally a 2. I love wearing this dress. This is a "tent" style dress, which is gathered by a matching belt. It's very comfortable and very versatile. It is probably not universally flattering, since it is definitely not tailored. If it works, though, it's a terrific dress.
Not At All What I Expected By Classic Mom from Hartford, CT on 07/31/2009 Cons: Cheap Fabric, Low Quality, Poor Fit, Thin Fabric, Very short waisted, Wrinkles Easily Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Style Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I loved the style of this in the catalog, but was very disappointed when I received the item. I am 5'8" and this dress was very short in all its proportions. I was also disappointed in the fabric and construction. I expected much higher quality with a dress in this price range.
By Jules from NC on 06/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Versatile Cons: Not flattering at all, Thin Fabric, Wrinkles Easily Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Be aware that this dress is a "tent" style, not fitted at all. It would be very comfortable to wear. The fabric is somewhat sheer cotton and would need ironing to stay crisp. You should wear a half slip to avoid see-through in the skirt. I chose to return it due to the above "cons".
By Globetrotter from Davis, CA on 06/17/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flattering, Nice Fabric, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Night Out, Special Occasions, Wear To Work Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the "perfect" dress, dress it up with pearls and pumps, wear it to a picnic with flats and a light colored cardigan. The trapeze cut with the tie-belt to create definition makes the dress super comfortable, yet elegant.

By Carol from Gulf Coast Alabama on 06/10/2009 Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Comfort vs Style: Comfort Driven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The waist is too high and the dress just looked "frumpy" on me. I liked the retro look but had to return this item.
By Kaatskills Kate from New York City town and country on 06/07/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm not thrilled with this but I kept it because it's such an easy piece to wear, cool and breezy for hot weather. Throw it on, and you're dressed! I gave it just three stars because the fabric could be higher quality, it's very light-weight polished cotton, almost see-through, and I wouldn't wear this to the office. But perfect for country weekends. Self belt looks boring, add your own to make the dress pop. Very flattering design, hides tummy bulges and wobbly thighs, but does expose those upper arms!
