I own several other high-end fly rods, including a Sage Z-Axis 6wt and an Orvis Zero Gravity 5 wt. The March Brown Hidden water (4-piece) matches up very favorably with both of the above 4-piece fly rods. I used the March Brown yesterday on the San Juan River (quality tail waters section) in NM. It was a windy day. The rod had the backbone to handle those conditions while casting streamers as well as #22 - #24 flies. I landed a dozen trout including several fish in excess of 20 inches. It was a joy to play the larger fish on the MB rod. Several days ago, I also used it on a local (small) stream. I found the rod to be sensitive enough to make catching smaller trout enjoyable. Overall, a fine product. Nothing was spared in the manufacture of this fly rod. Buy it! You won't be sorry.
