Columbia Sportswear Powder Lake Jacket By Sambeaux from Houston, TX on 11/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Wind Resistant Cons: Size up to add layers Best Uses: Casual Wear, Downhill, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Purchased this Jacket for Ski Trips to the Rockies. For southern climates, it works well as an "all-winter" jacket. The quality of materials and construction is very good. Sizes are true with little room for additional layers. You may wish to add one size if you wish to "layer-up". Jacket packs and travels well. The insulation is effective but only time will tell if it will hold its loft. I find the jacket very warm when active and comforatble when at rest. Lined pockets are a nice touch.
