Great value for the $$$$$. By Jack Frost from Jackson, WY on 11/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Downhill Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Snowmobiling, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As I can change this jacket up to fit my climate changes/needs this jacket is perfect. In addition, to find anything that is long enough length to cover my back that is normally exposed is a great find. To top it off, the low price makes it an excellent bargain.

I have worn it in a heavy rain and was dry the whole time. I have not had it on in really cold weather but I would guess with proper undergarments that you could stay warm down to 10F maybe 5F but past that I think you will need to look for a thicker coat. On the plus side you can take out the inner jacket and use your own or just wear it as a rain coat. All in all I would have paid double for this coat.

It fits great and is constructed well just like most Columbia clothing.
By Leigh W. from Richmond, VA on 09/19/2009 Pros: Breathable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very nice looking jacket. I bought it for my boyfriend who was using a ridiculous bomber of some sort. We are moving to North Carolina in January and I wanted him to have a good coat. He's a big guy-- 6'4" and 235lbs with broad shoulders and a relatively flat midsection. I got him the 2XLT. The fit around the shoulders is a little snug, but works. The fit around the chest is perfect and so is the arm length. The only complaint would be that the fit around the stomach/hips is pretty big, but there are, of course, drawstrings to tighten that up. He loves the jacket. The only complaint that I had about it was that the fleece liner is much thinner than I thought it would be. The liner and shell together seem like they'll be a great combination for light warmth and wind/water resistance, but on especially cold days I think that an additional couple of layers will be needed.
By Leanne from Grand Rapids, MI on 09/17/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Downhill, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very nice coat- and the fleece inside seems very durable too. It has the shoulder/chest area have a different material on them- one that seems like it would be wind resistant and help out if it was lightly snowing or drizzling. That alone seems pretty warm. Haven't been able to actually try it out yet, but were very happy with it in fit and feel.
