Comfortable, warm, and windproof. Works better as an outergarment than the traditional fleece vest, but can still be used underneath, as well. A great buy for the price.

Cut is athletic. Vest is not really thick, but is warm and makes a nice piece to layer up. Pockets have zippers so you dont lose all your [*]on hikes. Good price, [...] good product.
Excellent Product, Excellent Price By Anthony from Detroit, MI on 08/04/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This vest is a very comfortable to wear, light enough for a mild summer day in the north east areas of the United States and nice to wear on cooler spring and fall days as well.
By Tori from Chicago on 06/16/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought jacket too at the same time. I wear size 42 and the size L jacket that I bought is just fine with a little bit of room around shoulder which I like. I would suggest you should get size M vest if you want the vest to feel tiny bit snug around your upper body. Size L vest feels leaving too much room especially around shoulder, so I returned. Overall, however, I very much like the fabric and the design. I am keeping the jacket.
By Ratherbe from Victoria BC on 05/30/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great for everday use and camping. Appears very well made and looks great too. Intelligent design and features (windproof sections, multiple well-placed pockets etc,). Columbia has been making some terrific products in recent yeras, especially in their Titanium line. While I can't speak to durability yet, Columbia has performed well in this regard for me in the past. How much do I like this vest? I ordered the jacket as well after receiving this.

I was pleasantly surprised by the thickness and 'feel' of it. I bought it in the late spring so I won't get to test it out for a few months but judging from the quality it won't disappoint.
