I thought I would hate the papaya color, but it's growing on me. Fits and feels great.
By Nick Name from Loveland CO on 10/21/2009 Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I first ordered a medium (typical size for me), but it was way too small (too tight). A replacement large size is a bit too big for me, but on the whole I'm quite happy with this jacket. Although the sizing seems a bit off, I really like the jacket and would buy it again, especially for the price.
Good features, good price By Dreaming of peeks from Maplewooe, NJ on 10/21/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Really nice jacket. Cut a little on the slim side, but I'm (@6'0", 173#) ok with that.
The weight is spot-on, not to heavy and not too light. The windproffing is good and it is quite warm. Use it for a mid-layer in winter mountain activities or at a primary for Fall/Early Winter.
I got the orange color and it's sexy! Looks like the North Face Denali jacket... but at less than 1/2 the price (at STP), and in my opinion, better built.
Warmest Thing I've Ever Boughten By Jane from DeKalb, Illinois on 10/21/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This blocks the wind out when I'm outside and is so warm I'm sweating in it when I'm wearing it inside! LOVE IT!
By Travler from San Antonio, TX on 10/20/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Versatile Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this jacket for a fall trip to the north east for a outside job during bad storms. No trouble staying warm even in extremely windy and damp conditions. The same was true staying comfortable on warmer days (with the pit zips). The jacket definitely has a tight athletic fit through the shoulders and waist. The close fit limits the clothing layers you can have and a bulky sweater is definitely not an option. I almost wish that I had sized up for layering. The inner cuffs definitely keep wind out and the pit zippers are great for cooling in warmer weather. The zipper is not a 2 ways and with the tight fit in the waist sitting, driving, etc results you having to unzip the jacket. Not sure why Columbia stopped the 2 way zippers sever years ago.
Bottom line: A durable jacket that does its job
By Zorah from Pullman, WA on 10/19/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Going Out, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this for my boyfriend last week. He loves it. It is warm, stylish, the green color looks great with his red hair. The one con is that it is a little tight in the hips. It was just a bit tight and getting the size up would have made the whole fleece huge.
By ToughOnStuff from Indianapolis, IN on 10/14/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Seems very versatile. Worn alone or with a rain jacket will provide much protection from the elements. I wear it daily in 65 degree and lower temps. Have used it on runs and ventilation is good when needed.
One of my favorite jackets ever! By nalax from Chicago on 10/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Bad Weather, Daily Use, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The windproof fleece works! I've worn it with a polypro underneath and it's warm in the 30's. There are pitzips to let in air if I need it. I'm impressed with the windstopping capability as I have other "wind fleece" jackets which don't work as well. This will be the jacket I use for cold weather mtb riding. I'm 5-6, 145 lbs and the medium fits me well. I have a different Columbia fleece jacket in small that fits the same as this so in my experience Columbia sizing may vary. I would buy this jacket again.
By Rosco Peko Train from Fairmont, WV on 10/10/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable Best Uses: Camping, Daily Use, Going Out, Hiking Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my first Columbia fleece and I am impressed with the product. Its a great jacket for a cool start in the morning, and the pit zips are a suburb way for thermal control as the day warms. I bought the fleece as a mid layer and plan on covering it with a soft-shell when the weather turns cold. The material is not as soft as other fleeces, but the protection from the wind is worth it.
