Minimalist styling, and fleece does a decent job keeping my fingers warm. The gloves are as advertised, flexable, with a grippy palm and fingers.

By Boottread from Traverse City Mi on 09/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Grip, Windproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Daily use, Hiking/Running Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These gloves accompanied me on a backpacking trip to Lake Superior Provincial Park on an unseasonably cold trip for the end of August. I wanted a flexible midweight glove for morning and evening use on trips and these do the trick. They are flexible with decent grip and allowed stove assembly and tent set up with gloves on. They do not claim to be, and are not weathertight but handled morning frost and fog from Lake Superior without getting soaked.

Product was nice and well made also. Hope the XL works price great!!
