This coat is longer than the typical jacket, giving a bit more protection from the elements. My 10 year old son loves this coat.

Best Uses:
Freezing Conditions, Wet Weather
Describe Yourself:
Casual Adventurer
Bottom Line:

Comments:
I bought the orange for my daughter and she loves it. The inside chest and back are lined in a soft fleece, that's her favorite part. This is a longer coat, it should be great for skiing and sledding.

This jacket fit my son perfectly, which means to me that it has just a little bit of room to grow. It is for cold weather yet isn't too bulky. A very warm and comfortable jacket. Looks good too!

Great jacket for moderate winter weather
By jsueVerified Reviewer from Minnetonka, MN on 09/19/2009
Pros:

Cons:
Wish it were down filled

Sizing:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This jacket will be great for weather from about 20 degrees above to about 10 degrees below zero, but probably will not be adequate for the coldest part of winter in Minnesota. It's a great bargain for the price and would be perfect for the whole winter in most parts of the US.

This jacket fits my eight year old son well. This is a repeat buy, we bought this same jacket (smaller size) two years ago. It has a nice shepra type liner that keeps him warm. Plus, it's waterproof. He can play in the snow for hours and still keep dry.

Very heavy jacket would be perfect in Alaska, but not so much in temperate places like Portland.
