By Mountain mama from Mariposa, California on 11/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cozy, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the color and it turns out to be a bit thin on the down, but nice and cozy to wear around and layer under a jacket, or over a long sleeve shirt or even the merino wool sweater that I bought from STP! I am becoming quite attached to it.

By Mimzer from Durango, CO on 10/06/2009 Cons: Elastic at Shoulders, odd fit, Torso too wide Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I liked the color initially but as I wore it around the house to see if I liked the shape, it dawned on me that I looked like I was wearing a sack of potatoes. The cut is narrow at the shoulders but flares out to the hem, so it is very wide in my waist area. The extra small was also much larger than expected. I returned the vest because the cut made it pretty much unusable for me. I would have kept it if shape was tailored and didn't allow for drafts to come up into the vest.
Nothing intense about this red By comfort gal from Sydney on 08/09/2009 Cons: Inadequate Protection, Weird colour Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The "Intense Red" is actually salmon, not red. It's paler than the picture.
The vest seems light on down - I have the "Columbia Too Cute" vest which is the same fill power but has much more down and is much warmer.
The armholes have elastic, which might be a little tight if you've got toned arms.
