By Rexie the wanderer from Montpelier, Vermont on 09/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I needed something to replace my Merrill everyday hiker/walkers and these are great. Wide enough at the pad of my foot to feel roomy and snug enough at the heel not to slip. I may take them as my only shoe to Europe for walking, biking and light hiking.
The light colors will probably get soiled but the price was right.
By Elizaontherun from Portland, OR on 08/07/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold weather, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really haven't used these shoes yet but I've worn them around the house to get a sense of how they feel. I walk a lot in my job and need a stable and water-proof shoe that will hold up in the elements. I think these shoes fit the bill and will keep me on feet when fall and winter get here.

True to description but a tad too small By Elizawalking from Portland,OR on 07/31/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold weather, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes fit their description in appearance. I wanted them for my job, where I walk a lot and need a stable water-proof shoe. These fit the bill. I had to send back my 1st pair, as they were too small in length. The 2nd pair fit perfectly and I only went up a half size.
Exactly what you'd expect from Patagonia By Aloha-Girl from Roseville, California on 07/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: High quality shoe. Very comfortable. No break in period necessary.
Great tread, but still too small! By Susana from Rohnert Park, CA on 07/22/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I exchanged for a half size larger, and the fit is still not ideal. These are not the boots I really wanted, the Patagonia Drifter that's not on closeout but retails for [$]at Patagonia. These will, however, do the job, even though they're not waterproof. The tread and support are very good. I hike 2 or 3 times a month. These are good but could be better.

Difficult to adequately tighten the laces so that my foot doesn't slip forward when trekking downhill. Nice padding around the ankle, no breaking in required.
By Cookie from Spring Lake MI on 07/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: If you want to wear very heavy socks, buy 1/2 size larger. What a great buy. Shoes are just what I wanted and I couldn't be happier.
By Hillbilly from Viginia on 06/16/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered a 9 1/2 and thought it may be a little snug. So, I returned them and got a 10. Those are too big and really wide. They swallow my feet. They are a great looking shoe and I'm sure they would wear forever but I returned them for a more narrow and lightweight shoe. Tread is awesome on them.
