Vasque quality and sizing redeemed By Kiwigirl from New Zealand on 07/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been wearing Vasque boots for years, and was looking for a low waterproof hiking shoe for everyday walking and light hiking. Unlike my recent experience with the Vasque Quantum Gore-tex Multi-sport shoe, which felt narrow in the forefoot and degraded very quickly, this shoe is roomy in the forefoot and after months of daily use still looks like new. Hopefully Vasque will continue carrying this product in the future.
great trail running shoe! By Lainylovestohike from Philadelphia, Pa on 06/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes are great for everything. I have two pairs; one I leave in my car on the off chance I get out of work early and I have some time to hit the trails. Great for any weather! Super water-proof and great ventilation!
By Maryann from Naples, FL on 06/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've been wearing Vasque for more years than I can remember. They have always been my favorite for hiking, backpacking and the like. So when I started working as a utility meter reader a few years ago, walking 6-8 hours a day in all kinds of weather, on a variety of surfaces and slopes, I never considered anything else for footwear.
And my new Mercurys don't disappoint. The only negative I see for some people is that the toe box seems a bit narrower than my previous style. It's not a problem for me, but may be for someone with a wider foot. Other than that they are true to size and width.

nice looking shoe, but too stiff for me By jen, outdoorsy mom of three from ohio on 05/21/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: great looking shoe, but too stiff to really get excited about. i sent mine back because i like a shoe that's ready to go, not one that needs so much wearing in. probably good shoe for serious trail runner.
Perfect Fit AND Gore-Tex! By lizzy from boulder, co on 05/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these shoes for day hikes, 14ers, and backpacking. The Gore-Tex liner is essential if you might encounter spring snow, and the sole is grippy on steep rock pitches. TO VASQUE: please never stop making this shoe! I finally found the perfect combo of features in a low shoe that fits!!
