By Long, hard hiker from Denver, Colorado on 07/29/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was very impressed by the design and construction of this boot. Ordered 1/2 size larger which seemed to be a good fit. However, after trying it out, the toe box seemed a bit narrow and was definitely stiff with very little cushion and flexibility on the ball of my foot. My toes were cramped and I definitely felt every rock through the sole. Heel fit and traction were good, but, unfortunately, I did have to return the boot. It would not have been comfortable on the long, hard day hikes/short backpacks for which I intended to use it.
Wish they came in wide widths By Madre de Peanut from Anderson, SC on 06/19/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stable Cons: Stiff, Toe cage too narrow Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was excited about the fit and comfort of the boot - on one foot. The toe box was just a little too narrow for normal daily variations in foot size on the other foot. Sorry they don't come in wide sizes. I would definitely wear them!
By Alpine hiker from New Hampshire/Austria on 04/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Tecnicas just fit me perfectly. I have never had a blister or any discomfort from this brand of boots. They're the only brand of hiker I buy and since I know they fit perfectly, I actually ordered them online, confident that they would feel great and they do!
By pafmarwak from Oregon on 04/16/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Ordered an 8, my normal size. Boot is way to big overall, wide footbed and toe box. Both foot and ankle support seemed adequate but hard to judge just walking around the house. Well constructed.
