They do not have a large amount of foam inside for old/arthritic dogs, but the dogs like them on hot days. Haven't taken them camping yet to try them out outside.

Awful quality. Two dollars would have been too much for it.

I don't know what "up-cycled" remnants is supposed to mean, but this is basically a poorly-sewn slippery nylon bag full of 2-3" chunks of leftover foam. Even after letting it sit overnight to re-fluff (it comes packed tightly), it's only about 2/3 full. And if you were to remove the cover to clean it, you would be left with a pile of loose foam remnants. Not worth even the cheap price, but a pain to return because of the size.

I was expecting a soft dog bed that could replace the one we had as the stuffing was getting very thin. This works for adding padding, but does not have a soft cover on it. I guess I should have read the description better as it feels more like a camping mat than a dog bed. Will work out OK for us if we just put the old bed on top of this one. The one we received was blue, not yellow as pictured which I was actually quite happy about.
