They have been comfortable with good support.
By Jim Bean from Outdoors, USA on 07/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Cons: A little tight at first Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very good shoe at a geat price. Very comfy after wearing it for a couple days, it was a little tight at first. Quality looks to be excellent, not made in China.
By Shmoo from Virginia on 07/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've had these for almost 2 months. I wear them almost daily. They are a bit warm for the middle-of-the-summer, but nothing I can't handle with some cycling/running socks.
They are a bit heavy, but you can't feel the weight once you get going.
The soles are a bit thick, but they still feel pretty stable.
I wouldn't recommend these for hardcore hiking; the traction isn't there (look at the soles). For average hikes, should be no problem.
There was no option for 1/4 size too big, but that's how they feel.

Good for a narrower foot too. Comfortable right out of the box.
By the angler from denver, colorado on 06/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear a size 12 usually but this shoe runs a bit big. My heel slips a bit and I have to wear an extra pair of socks to make up for the slipping heel.
By Greg from Glenwood Springs, CO on 06/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Well made shoe that fits true to size. I normally wear between a 14 and 15; generally sizing down for sport/performance shoes. For a trail shoe, the sole provides good protection, and the lateral support is solid. The upper is mesh, and breathes well; I wouldn't recommend this shoe for wet weather adventures, as that is not what I use it for. Overall, very pleased.
