Leather lining is nice and feels great. I don't know if they are waterproof or not. Inside it is labeled "Climate Control System". I'll know soon. . .
My Lowa addiction continues! By wyojim from Wyoming on 10/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Typical great Lowa value, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Lowa always is a great value and lasts very well for everyday use, hiking or travel on the cobblestones of Europe.
By l from South Dakota on 10/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Cons: Heavy, Not Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Break in time is short, maybe 10 miles of hiking. I did get a blister, on my heel, because the padding around the back of the shoe allowed my heel to slip. This was resolved with a synthetic liner sock and a different pattern in the laces. The leather lining is great, and the shoes breathe very well. I was expecting more of a Lowa boot fit, but they feel similar in sizing to my running shoes.
very well made hiking shoe. By stuck in the piedmont from Georgia on 09/03/2009 Pros: Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very well made - I especially like the leather lining. This shoe is narrow in the toe box, so if you have wider feet it might not work. The only negative is that the insole is thin.

Don't have a lot of lugs sticking out from the sides that I tend to catch and almost trip over.

Solid shoe as well as fashionable By thezman from Cleveland, Ohio on 08/11/2009 Pros: Great Traction, Stable Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The shoe looks great. My only complaint is they are about a half size too small. I usually wear a 10/10.5 with no problem. I ordered a 10.5 and find them very snug. I've concluded that without socks they will be OK. Great looking and well constructed. Just order a half size larger.
By Bob from Decatur GA on 08/06/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I said "feels too narrow" just to flag that some might feel it a little close in the toes. The heel is not too narrow; could even be a little tighter there. But I often have that trouble and am thankful to find anything leather lined that I can ge ta decent fit in.
