Went out on a hike at Mt. Rainier to try them out. Snow was soft and deep, they kept good traction and didn't slip much. I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderfully comfortable they are in the snow. They are stiff, which is what I wanted, but not like a plastic boot. They kept my feet warm, which is probably the first time that's ever happened in a boot. Excellent support for my arch. Just so comfortable! I haven't stepped into crampons with them yet, but they look set up for it. Just using them once, I love them!
