Great Boots, the fit is incredible By Blister Boy from Huntington Beach, Ca on 11/02/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Cons: Very sensitive laces Best Uses: Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been trying for years to find boots that do not give me blisters on the heels and these do the trick. Most boots out there seem to have a wide heel box and these boots are definately more narrow in the heel box
By jefe from mont. on 08/05/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: great boot right out of the box. I have a wide forfoot and a high arch and this boot required no breakin time whatsoever. I'm working in it (excavation/landscape) but already know it will be a great boot for climbing mountains in Glacier Nat. Park
Best summer boot I've put on my feet.

By Mountain Slide Slim from Southwestern Colorado on 04/16/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Comfortable/No Break-In, Flexible, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backpacking, Cold Weather, Day Hiking, Harsh Terrain, Heavy Loads, Ice Climbing, Long-Distance Hiking, Mountaineering Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I put "Feels True to Size" because I've had several pairs of Lowa's and now know that one needs to purchase a HALF SIZE LARGER than one normally would to get a great fit.
That said, these are great boots. I just took them with me on a 3 day backpacking trip into Utah's Canyonlands and their performance was stellar! They showed great flexibility and support. They gripped the rock wonderfully and were comfortable beyond belief. "Wow, wow, wow," is basically what I have to say.
As for color, the Cevedales are a little flashier than most Lowas, but I love that too. Beautiful boots! Highly recommended for serious hiking, climbing and backpacking. I have nothing negative to say at all.
Just remember to order one size larger than you normally would and you'll be fine. The Germans sure know what they're doing in designing these boots!
