He is 67 and thought perhaps they were too trendy. That was until he wore them to a football game where he parked the car & hiked to the stadium. He hasn't taken them off since! He is diabetic and requires good footwear to preserve his feet. He claims he will always consider a Merrill from now on.

They are very light but yet the construction is solid and offers good support. The replaceable inner soles are a bonus. I liked these so much i bought a second pair. Try them, and you to will become a Merrell fan.
