Fit and Function at best! By Dee Dee from Ann Arbor, Michigan on 10/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Bulky, Not much arch support Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice boots, kind of like shoes. I'm addicted to sneakers, they are all I wear and these boots look a lot like sneakers when worn with jeans. They are super warm too. I ordered my normal size 8.5 and I can fit a pair of SmartWool socks in these with even a little extra room. The toe of these boots is very boxy and a looks a little bulky when you are looking down at them, but from the side they look great. They are pretty flat and don't offer much arch support. The "black" is more like black and brown so they can be worn with anything and the teal accents are very cute. I'm looking forward to wearing these on winter hikes throughout Michigan this year!
By Mimi from New York on 10/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This boots are so cute! I bought them for my daughter. she's only 9 but her shoe size is 8. She's in love with them. she tell me that in school, her friends compliment her all the time. She also mentioned that they looked like "Native American Indian boots." I am not so sure what she means but I am happy she loves them so much! and wears them almost everyday.
By Penguin lover from downstate illinois on 10/02/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have only worn these around the house so far but they are comfortable and easy to get on and off. I bought them because of the puffins but I'm delighted with the overall style. As far as traction and technical uses, i am hopeful.
looks like 2 loaves of bread By jf from chicago on 10/02/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I didn't like the extremely squared off toes so i'm sending them back. It looks like you stepped into 2 loaves of brown bread and decided to walk around town. I got 8 1/2, my true size. I guess they fit about right though I could feel my longer second toe bumping into the front. I imagine that might start to irritate me.
I wish they were more rounded and foot shaped. I like my other Merrell's though they too are a bit hobbit-looking but these were just too extreme for me. frump frump.

They will be great in the cold weather. Wore them around house and they are comfortable and really cute - penguins on the soles are adorable.

I wonder if they will be warm enough for extreme northern climates(?), but I am happy with them all the same! Thanks :)
Cute colors, VERY WIDE shoe By AFC from Detroit, Mi on 09/09/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I would not recommend this product. It is way too bulky and I am returning it. [...] I just bought the wrong style of shoe for my feet and body!
By River Runner from Ohio on 09/08/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are cute and stylish. They also seem warm and cozy, although I haven't actually tried them out in cold weather. Unfortunately I'm returning them. They feel too big even though I followed sizing advice. They also feel a little clunky on, like blocks on my feet. Perhaps that wouldn't be the case if they were smaller. Shame too, because they are just so darn cute!
