By catylakeland from Wilmington,DE on 08/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for my daughter who is leaving for college and I thought she would need some boots to wear around if it snows(which it does in Philly). She seems to like them but I personally love Merrell shoes and thought they were a good buy. They seemed to run a little generously which is good if you want to wear them with socks.
Wonderful happy winter boots By Lucretia from Pacific Northwest on 08/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these Merrill boots. They're perfect for running errands in wet, cold weather. I wouldn't recommend them for hiking (not enough support or traction for that), but they're great general-purpose winter shoe. And the detailing is INCREDIBLY cute--from the stitching to the wool detail at the top, to the penguins (and polar bear!) on the soles. Not only do they keep your feet warm and dry, they're just fun to wear.
Great pair of boots, cute too By kadet from Vancouver, WA on 08/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I will use the boots if we have snow or on the mountain. I do not know if they are waterproof or how they handle yet. I liked them so much I ordered a pair for my daughter who is a bush teacher in Kipnuk, AK I thought they would be great for fall and spring snow. Not for when it is -80F below 0 degree F.

Light weight and easy to get into are big pluses. And, of course, that they're waterproof for winter hiking which I what I want them for.

Warm, soft but not that comfortable By Kerry the skier from Jindabyne, Australia on 07/29/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: 9.5 was too short for my second toe, even though I have other Merrells in 9 and 9.5.
Sole feels a bit flat to stand on. I'll put a sheepskin liner in it.
perfect causal winter boots By Outdoor Mama from Boise, ID on 07/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Winter walking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was worried these would look too "snow bootish", but they look like a very stylish winter skate shoe. They have the best style of any outdoor boot. They will be perfect for my full-time winter shoes, and exactly what I needed to walk the kids 4 miles back and forth to school every day all winter long, and now I won't have to switch to my clunky snow boots to keep my feet dry and warm!
Great boots! And very warm! By jpritchard from Spokane, WA on 07/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are wonderful! I have extremely wide feet & often have trouble finding winter boots that fit well--these do! They are lined with fur--keeping toes toasty in colder climates. Being that I purchased them in July (100+ degree weather) I haven't been able to wear them outside...but my feet were hot just walking around the air-conditioned house with them. Great purchase...worth the price!
