By L from Denver, CO on 10/14/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Like other reviewers, I got a pair that the footbed was bunched up in the toebox. They were horribly uncomfortable for the 2 minutes I had them on. Returned. Should have listened to the other reviews.
poor interior construction By practical shopper from Ridgewood, NJ on 10/13/2009 Pros: Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Ordered next size up as recommended, still too small, could not have put on any socks. In the toe there was a bunched up fabric/insulation material that really hurt. I am a big Merrell fan and these just did not live up to their quality for comfort on the inside.
By LoveSnow from Bozeman, MT on 10/13/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The insole that comes in these boots are terrible. They were all crumpled up in the end. I think they are one reason why you have to order so far up in sizing. I almost sent them back immediately, but decided to take them out and try a pair of Superfeet in them- totally did the trick. They now are comfortable and fit great. Just a bummer that they can'b be warn as is! Glad I had the Superfeet around!
Merrell Puffin Boots- LOVE 'EM BUT... By Sierra Angel from Incline Village, Nevada on 10/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Love the boots and the look of them! However, even though I followed the advice online that the sizes ran small (I ordered 1/2 size larger) they should recommend ordering a FULL size larger. My toes hit the edge of the boot making it a little uncomfortable.
By Alaska Mom from South Central, Alaska on 10/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great everyday, drive the kids to school and run your errands in winter time boots. Comfy and functional.
Merrell Puffin High Boots By Heiker from Minnesota on 09/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very nice-looking boots, love the style & color. Very comfortable fit, & the advice to buy one half-size larger was right on. Will look great with dress pants or jeans & undoubtedly function well in the brutal winters of Minnesota.
glad that i read the reviews By snow bird from Grand Marais MN on 09/18/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: run a little small did need a 1/2 size bigger than normal.
By Moarla from Boulder, CO on 09/18/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots look a lot cuter in the pictures than in real. The leather is a bit darker in real and they just look a bit weird/awkward/bulky. They do run small, so order 1/2 size up. I returned my pair, cause I didn't like their real look as much as I did the pictures
By Nanook of the North from St Paul, Minnesota on 09/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have ordered these boots with the idea I will alternate wearing them with my mukluks. Being that it's only Sept I haven't been able to put them to the true test yet. I do spend alot of time outside every day no matter what the weather brings, I have two very active dogs & I work on a large Univerity campus. I would strongly recommend ordering a half size if not a full size up depending on whether you plan to wear sox with them, they definitely run small. Otherwise, I am totally excited about wearing them because they are super cute
