Great Jack of All Trades Winter Footwear By Winter Wanderer from North East Ranger on 10/28/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great Boot. Expensive - but a classic case of you get what you pay for. Aggressive Vibram Grips, well constructed. Warm enough for limited outdoor medium activity cold weather but not too warm for inside use. Although not warm enough for low activity extended wear in very cold weather. Not enough ankle support to be a true hiking boot either. In summation - great jack of all trades winter footwear, just don't expect it to perform like a true dedicated serious hiker or snow boot.
By Ricky from Montana on 10/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots seem to be a full size too small. I ordered a full size larger and they fit perfect. The boots are very warm and the Merrell brand seems to be of excellent quality. These are awesome boots for the money! I would highly recommend these boots.

The insoles never of any Quality. Installed my own and these boots Rock.

Recommend buying 1/2 size larger than normal. I cannot wear athletic socks with these...doubt they're needed.
By YT from Sydney, Australia on 10/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really like the shoes. The size was right for my foot, my problem is that I'll be hiking which I need to wear 2 pairs of socks which make them a little tight but that's my fault for being a newbie trekker.
