By Indiana girl from Indiana on 07/14/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof Best Uses: Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I walk outside a couple of miles during my lunch hour to get exercise, and I need arch support. With my old boots, my feet hurt. These have the arch support I need, plus they are great-looking boots. I don't have any problem with entry or exit, and the velcro closes really well for me. I'm very glad I got these.
impossible to get good fit By honeybee from Ithaca, NY on 07/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit, Not Comfortable Best Uses: Don't know - didn't use Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered 2 sizes in 2 colors. The smaller size was very hard to get into and a little short. The larger size was very loose in the heel, buckled across the top and gapped around the calf. I really couldn't talk myself into either pair as the fit in both was just too poor. What a bummer, as they look great in the photo. I think these boots might fit if you have a wide foot and average to thick calves. The pinecone color is nicer looking, black is just OK. Gave these 3 stars just b/c of the beautiful leather.
By Shoelover from Temecula, CA on 07/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are great! I just got a second pair [...]. I wore these all throughout Italy & Paris and in D.C. in January when there was lots of rain and lots of snow. My feet never got wet and they were comfy from the get go - no break-in period! I liked them so much I got a pair for my mom in law for a trip we're taking to Seattle this upcoming winter. She loved them, too! While I've never had a hard time getting them on - open the velcro section all the way!! - my mom in law did initially. What she found was that it is harder to get on with thin socks and when she put on thicker socks (athletic, tube socks) they slipped on without a hitch. Hope this might help others! We both purchased our usual sizes.
By 60's woman/20's energy from Provo on 06/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Flexible, Good Traction, Lightweight, Soft, Stylish, Velcroelastic opening, Warm Cons: Color is pretty basic Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions, With skirts or slacks Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Price perfect for frugal me. They look great with either skirts or slacks. They will keep my feet dry when I walk my big dogs into the snow/slush at the side of the road. They are soft--feel more like moccasins on top. Arch support is crucial. Love the wide toe box.
By mlmc from Sequim, WA on 06/15/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for a mid-calf boot to wear with skirts or pants. Really like the simple style of this boot.
By nushagak from New Mexico on 06/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish, Warm Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit, Narrow leg, Velcro closing Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'd seen these boots elsewhere, and had wanted to get a pair, so when I saw the great price at Sierra Trading Post I ordered them. The foot area is comfortable. The leg opening could have been a tad wider. I don't like the velcro, and have to adjust it to such a degree that a good part of the velcro shows - tacky.

By Gemini from Aztec, NM on 05/19/2009 Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit, Not Comfortable Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I agree about the killer velcro that doesn't really show in the picture. These boots were also flat and didn't provide enough support for me.
