Bulky and not good for running By Runner from Salt lake city UT on 10/21/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I wanted it for running. But it sticks out too far from forehead and bounces when I run. Black Diamond Cosmo LED from [...] works much better for that purpose.

Best Head Lamp on the Market By Joel from Chicago on 10/13/2009 Pros: Bright, Durable, Light weight, Long battery life, Stable Cons: Did not own one years ago Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Day trip, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have been searching for a headlamp with the features of the Primus for a long time. Red LED's, a high power beam and various levels of light intensity, battery life, size and weight make this headlamp my goto headlamp. I have been through at least a half dozen headlamps until I found this keeper. Even bought a spare.
Good product, easy to use in the dark. By a tree expert from Bisbee, AZ on 09/23/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Spare Bulb, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping, Hiking Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Works very well for walking your dog in the dark. LED works good for walking, the beam helps illuminate things at a distance of 10 to 20 meters. Works suprisingly well!
Love it daily and in emergencies By Queen Dean from New York/New Jersey on 09/05/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Bright, Durable, Easy to use the first tim, Stable Cons: Easy to make too tight Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking, Reading at dawn outside Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love to read outside at dawn, but a floodlight on the deck is too much, a flashlight in the yard doesn't work. My little headlamp is perfect.
By joe blow from boulder, co on 09/03/2009 Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Got the primus primelight and the Princeton tec aurora. I was not impressed with the primus and very impressed with the aurora. The luxeon bulb on the primus is just not that bright (I found the three leds of the aurora just as bright) and you cannot have the luxeon bulb and the led's on at the same time. I also found the light relatively bulky and the two button control counter intuative
sorry, I'm sticking with led's only
By stevie bahadur from santa barbara california on 09/03/2009 Pros: Adjustable Beam, Band holds onto head well, Bright, Durable, Easy to turn on and off, Stable Best Uses: Backpacking, Car Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A good headlamp that provides optional beams for different uses. The headband works well ( many headlamps are weak here) which is important as you can work or climb or what ever without continually grabbing the head band to keep it on. The only drawback is price .
