For my daughter at college - time & temp By Charlie the enabling Dad from Arlington, VA on 11/13/2009 Pros: Consistent Performance, Durable, Easy To Configure, Easy To Use Describe Yourself: Enthusiast Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Selelcted this one for my daughter living off campus at college. Did the research and thought this model was best for her needs. OK, I did put in the batteries and set it up for her before shipping it off. I found it easy set up, easy to read and easy it should be easy for my 19 year old to take care of! Hopefully, it will help her know the time and temperature so she gets to class on time -- and is prepared for the weather! Has an atomoc clock -- if you are in range to get the signal. Nice feature.
Good La Cross Weather Station By Retired Dennis from Danvers MA on 11/12/2009 Pros: Consistent Performance, Durable, Easy To Configure, Easy To Use Describe Yourself: Casual User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Gave this as a gift to a friend who was quite pleased. Reasonable price and working well in the first couple days. I'd bought a simpler one without the atomic digital clock, and that works well too. Tricky changing batteries on that one. Recommended!

Quick! Get those batteries installed. By Creaky Joints from Boston, MA on 10/21/2009 Pros: Durable, Good signal pick-up, Nice Display Cons: MaxMin confusing, Transmitter not waterproo Describe Yourself: Casual User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: 1.The directions for setting Max/Min are confusing and not easy to use without referring to the directions. Whoever designed the setting logic should try it out and see they missed keeping it simple.
2.Outside transmitter says its not waterproof. I installed it outside under a roof eave about 40 feet away from the inside display. I'm pleased transmissions are picked up.
3. Hope it lasts longer than the three years life of the Model# WS9025U I purchased from Sierra Trader.
4. The instructions stated you have 30 seconds to intall the display batteries after setting up the transmitter. What stress!!!!!!!!
