Not comfortable on the first wearing. By new york walker from new york, ny on 11/12/2009 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: At the moment the shoes are not comfortable.
Looks great, not so much arch support By K8 from Seattle on 11/11/2009 Pros: Durable, Easy On and Off, Lightweight, Looks great Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have to wear my orthotics with these shoes - they do not offer the arch support that my other Merrells do. The brown pairs fits fine and looks great. The black pair is tighter and squeaks when I walk! I'm going to get them stretched out at a shoe store.
By Love comfy shoes from Franklin, TN on 11/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Easy On and Off, Good Traction, Great Fit, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Walking/Hiking Describe Yourself: Recreational User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought the black because the brown ones I already have like them are SO comfortable! The new black ones are a little snugger but they will stretch a little with wear. I wear these shoes for long days shopping, walking on campus, etc.
By DJ from In the Ozarks, Mo on 11/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Easy On and Off, Good Traction, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Recreational User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are very comfortable shoes right out of the box, as all merrell's are. They are very easy in and out of, these are more exact sizing than my other Merrell's. I mostly wear a 9 1/2, but several of my other Merrells fit at 9, these would have been best at the 9 1/2....
By ruru racecar from Cody, WY on 11/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Easy On and Off, Good Traction, Great Fit, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Walking/Hiking Describe Yourself: Novice User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love these shoes! I bought one pair and have worn them to the point that the original black color is very faded. But they are only faded because I have worn them in and out of water, llama manure piles, cactus fields and sagebrush. I got the second pair so I would have nice ones for travel. I probably have six or seven pairs of Merrill shoes. Some are better than others. These are my current favorites.
By Cee from Nebraska on 11/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Easy On and Off, Easy to clean, Great Fit, Lightweight Best Uses: Boating, Gardening Describe Yourself: Recreational User Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The fabric reminded me of a rubberized nylon. Use this shoe for outdoor activities, but just not for sports that require a secure fit as they are slip ons with no back.
By Too many shoes from Seattle, WA on 11/03/2009 Cons: Difficult On and Off, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Recreational User Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I love Merrell products. I was excited to receive my new shoes, but when I tried them on I was not so excited. The shoe looks great, exterior looks well made. The unfortunate part for me is the shoe was so tight, I could not even begin to walk around. I was not able to even give them a chance.
By littleleosmama from los angeles on 10/30/2009 Pros: Good Traction, Lightweight Cons: Difficult On and Off, Lack of arch support, Not as pictured Describe Yourself: Advanced User Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Disliked the grey/black/brown (yes in real-life, brown is on this grey/black shoe), not enough arch support, and all around difficult to put on. Do not recommend. Made my foot look huge
By Marp from St. Louis on 10/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Easy On and Off, Lightweight Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are very comfortable, they don't have the most awesome arch support, I use supplemental inserts, but they aren't too bad. Also, ordered 1/2 size larger as per suggestion, a little too big, but tolerable.
