By chair2chair from summit county, colorado on 11/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: the sneakers are great on trails of basecourse to woodchips. they are not designed for pavement but scarpa fits me perfect so they are my choice for everyday. reveiws of stiffness or resistance are from people that might not be willing to give up a little cushy-ness for the durabillity and performance of the vibrant sole, which comes at a small price. i got the sneakers at a small price too 5 stars reflects that. maybe 4.5 otherwise for me. bottom line, feet and shoes come in diffrent shapes and sizes (like heads and helmts)so when u find the brand ski boot or sneaker/shoe that fits perfect, stick with that company. do not make any sacrifices try on as much as you need to. scarpa fits me perfect in all scenarios. the quality is up there but no matter what u go with if you ski hard nothing is indestrcutable. just make sure u buy the stuff discounted from a place like STP where u can return it if it doesnt fit

Great shoe for street use as well..... By Bill from San Antonio, Texas on 08/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have worn regular tennis shoes to work for many years and find that paying a little more for a trail shoe pays off in durability and comfort. Trail shoes worn in rotation with other tennis shoes or another pair of trail shoes gives them three times the lifespan of a regular tennis shoe.

Good support and traction while lightweight. Much better than gym shoes. Squeaked for a day and then it was gone. Great shoe for a great price. Good color for working in dirt!
