well, maybe; only time will tell By Ted from Central Virginia on 02/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Pants fit out of the bag. Normally I have to roll cuffs on 30" inseams, I didn't need to roll cuffs on these 32" seams. Certainly do not try hemming these pants till they're washed a number of times, they just might shrink to near perfect and I have a 29" inseam.
There is some truly silly (as in truly dumb)and useless stuff on these pants. C'mon, who really needs a tag reading "locked and loaded" sewn into the front zipper? Yeah, I can't wait till my friends see that one.
Only time will tell if the pants wear well, first I'm going to take a thread ripper and remove a bunch of silly tags.
I intend to use these pants in the yard, fishing and maybe some hiking.
Tough but stylish and comfortable. By Scoutmaster377 from Hewitt on 01/23/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Better than average blue jeans.
Why are these hunting pants? By Billybob Windrow from Carmel Valley CA on 01/22/2009 Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Other than an elastic strip over a back pocket intended to hold a couple of shells, these are a basic pair of jeans with nothing to recommend them as hunting wear. The soft "washed" fabric would soak water and not protect against brush or briar. The only thing "upland" about these was the original price.
By panch from utah on 01/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought two pair of these for my 23-year-old son and he really loved them so I bought a pair for my older, non-jeans wearing son and he loved them too. These are some of the best, most well-made jeans I have seen. I was told by both kids that everything about the way the jeans are designed was well thought out and very convenient-pockets, etc. I don't know about sturdiness yet, but it was really amazing how much they both liked these when they didn't pick them. Usually they are not this satisfied with anything. I highly recommend these. Kudos to Columbia and the price at Sierra Trading Post was amazing. The jeans I bought were made in Sri Lanka.
Very good for a bigger guy By IndyCarl from Indiana on 12/23/2008 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a bigger guy who has trouble finding a good fit in pants and jeans. I ordered size 46x32. They felt very comfortable right away and provides me plenty of room in the legs and seat. I highly recommend these jeans.
