only complaint is the helmet-ready hood. it's humongous, which is ok w a helmet on, less so for everyday usage. I tucked the visor back into the hood and it's passable.
this one negative is hardly bad enough to dissuade me from wearing the jacket in heavy rain though.
Great Jacket - Lightweight - slim waist By NE Hiker from New England on 10/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Downhill, Hiking, Snowboarding/Skiing Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Only slightly smaller than you'd expect and pockets are higher probably for use as mountaineering jacket.
By k2 from new england coast on 10/13/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Keeps you dry which is what it's intended to do. With layers, it's snug in the chest and upper arms. If you're on the size fence,I'd order larger, though the arm length is true to size. A larger size for me would bring other problems, so I'll keep this one and use it 3 season where layers are reduced. The pit zips are good ventilation-wise but you may need your gloves off to manipulate them. Hood provides quality protection. Over-all a good purchase at a discounted price.

She got caught in a torrential rain storm in England. 4" in 1 hour. Didn't get wet at all in the places the jacket covered. Amazing! Packs well and very durable.
By Donkey Boy from Highlands, NC on 06/03/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Backcountry, Cross Country, Downhill, Hiking Describe Yourself: Advanced Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Inseam: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: A large is tight!!! I tried on with just a polo shirt and it was TIGHT. Normally a large jacket
gives me plenty of romm for a sweater or fleece
underneath, not this. Too bad, nice jacket otherwise.
