LOVE THEM! Own 3 different styles, and just ordered my 4th pair! Thanks Sierra for offering them at affordable prices!
By Doc on her feet from Buffalo, NY on 05/28/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Stylish Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my second pair of MBT's. They are very comfortable and give me a good work out when I walk for exercise. They run a little small so order 1/2 size larger. This style does not look like a sneaker so it is perfect for work.
Love my MBT's but boy do styles vary..! By newly converted in the northwest from portland, oregon on 05/26/2009 Pros: Healthcare on your foot Best Uses: Dry fallwinter days Describe Yourself: Looking for more Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: First of all, I LOVE the MBT line so even though this style didn't work for me, I remain a loyal fan -of Sierra Trading Post too! In regular shoes (it's like a bad word now.?!) I am usually a 6&1/2 or 7, which makes me a 7 or 7&2/3 in an MBT 'anti-shoe' -due to their aforementioned 'order at least one size up' sizing pattern. In the Barbara sneaker/dress shoe, the 7&2/3 was too long but the 7 was too narrow (even though my foot would be considered narrow by most)... Otherwise, the Barbara style managed to be a perfect MBT 'comfort & relief in each step' specimen (entirely camouflaged when worn with a dark pant come fall/winter).
I am writing because reading comments left by other MBT aficionados has helped me decipher the brand & it's sizing anomalies. I'm not complaining, MBT's are an investment I will be making over & over as all my other shoes (of which there was just one style by one brand due to my Plantar Fasciitis) are now obsolete. My back used to exist in a constant state of painful inflammation that reduced motion and made it hard to turn my body & head enough to get a good look behind when backing out of the driveway. After 7 to 10 days of wearing my MBT Chapa sneakers (in a 37&2/3), I realized my range of motion had vastly improved AND I didn't feel the usual warning twinge/catch in my neck when turning to look behind the car as I backed out!!! Wow! & Yeah!
Throughout my purchase/exchange/return process the people at Sierra Trading Post have been not just knowledgeable and supportive, but empathetic as well. I can't wait to see which discontinued styles of the MBT 'anti-shoe' phenomenon find their way to the Sierra Trading Post!
Sincerely, newly converted in the northwest

Another great MBT offering By Nancy K from Western PA on 05/21/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable Best Uses: Barbecues, Shopping, Sport Describe Yourself: Athletic, Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper, Practical Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My 3rd MBT from STP. My feet love them. After nearly a year of MBT for fitness walking, my chronic plantar fascitis is only a memory!
This pair is the narrowest I have owned so I had to return and size up a full size, rather than my usual 1/2 size.
BTW, the proper name of the show is BARABARA, not BARBARA.
By On My Feet All Day from Ky on 05/19/2009 Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoe has really decreased my bunion pain.
It's great to work all day and not notice any foot pain. I will recommend this shoe to co workers. This is my second pair of MBT's. The first pair I purchased at a retail store where I was fitted. I recommend buying your first pair there to get the correct size.
By windowsbyjen from Denver on 05/18/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Look Cool Best Uses: Shopping, Sport, Travel Describe Yourself: Athletic, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A friend of mine let me try hers on and that convinced me to get a pair especially from STP since these were about [$] of the MSRP. I told her how much I paid and she said that's a really good price. I did my regular walk around the park and I could feel that these shoes made me work a bit more, but not while I was actually walking, only after, when I could feel my rear end burning. My feet certainly didn't feel fatigued. My shoe size limited me to this style and color, but it worked out fine.
By Race Walker from Providence, RI on 05/14/2009 Describe Yourself: Athletic, Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm a big fan of MBTs. I hate to wear any other shoe. These are supportive and comfortable. The price was great.
