By Cruisin from Phoenix, az on 04/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Barbecues, Everyday, Exersize, School, Shopping, Sport, Walking Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am normally 81/2 - sometimes 9 - depends on shoe. Would advise if in same situation - go with the 9. Or go up the 1/2 size.
Have MBT sandals and the fit is similar - although width is slightly narrower in these shoes. Toe box does narrow slightly - so if used to shoes with a square toe box - these may not work. Very slight narrowing - but there.
Tried on many MBT sneakers and found the sides would hit too high on the ankle - hitting right at the bone. These DO NOT have that issue. Heel catches appropriately and is seated correctly. Since the inserts are removable you can replace - found I did not need to with these.
With a pair of pants (jeans/cords dockers etc) these shoes look like any other nicely decked suede shoes (have the smoke/brown ones) and they do not stand out so to speak like some of the other MBT shoes/sneakers.
Same comfort as sandals, very easy to wear and the price is extremely good for MBT's.
By dd from Los Angeles, CA on 04/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Cute, Look Cool Describe Yourself: Athletic, Comfort-oriented, Practical Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Sizing up 1/2 size worked for me and I have one foot 1/2 size larger than the other! My first pair and they fit right out of the box. The black are nice enough to wear with casual pants and sporty enough to wear with yoga pants (cute too). I'd purchase more if they weren't so expensive.
