I've had 4 back surgeries, and these are the ONLY shoes I can wear all day without back pain! I get lots of compliments on them too! Can't say enough about MBT's...I own 5 pair!
By pburner from Long Beach, California on 05/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love MBT's...they can't be beat for comfort and support. This Mary-jane hits a home-run for style and comfort, and looks good with both jeans and dressier pants. I have joint and back problems, and this brand really does seem to make long bouts of standing and walking much more comfortable. I have several MBT's in sandals, and also running shoes, so this is a nice balance in a dressy-casual style. MBT's are just a goofy looking shoe, but somehow manage to look really cute on. Fit is true to size, although I can wear a 7 1/2 to 8 in most shoes, 8 is always best in MBT shoes (38 3/8)I don't think you will be disappointed in getting this shoe.

By jalama mama from Chicago, Illinois on 05/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Forces you to stand tall, Works your leg muscles Cons: Looks funny with socks Best Uses: Casual Wear, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too big Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I tried a pair of MBTs (possibly the sneaker version)on in the store and was amazed by the comfort. I bought the kayas and thought the walking experience would be the same...they were not. The kayas were a bit stiffer but the same technology applied. It is very much worth the investment. I am a 7 1/2 and ordered a half size up as was recommended (8 1/3) and feel like maybe I could have ordered the 7 2/3. I step out of the shoe a bit but feel as though it is the proper size. Also, the shoes look funny with a pair of socks. All in all, the shoe does all that it says it will do as far as workout your legs, buttocks and gut. They do require some break-in time, about a week.
a tad small, but still comfortable By Pat from Derry from Derry. NH on 05/08/2009 Pros: Adds height, Comfortable, Improves posture Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: does the same good things my other MBT's do. They are a bit small, but don't cramp my toes. They are a good alternative to my mbt sandals and sneakers. They have been fine on walks around the neighborhood.
Great shoes. Hokey sizing. By Shoe lover from Cary, NC on 05/04/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Kool Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Product is great for walking or standing for long periods of time. The rocking motion is fun and feels good.
But who ever heard of a 35 2/3 shoe size? When I ordered the size 35 2/3, I received shoes in a box labeled size 35, which, of course, were too small. The instructions to order a 1/2 size larger are complicated by the bizarre list of sizes supposedly offered, e.g. the next size listed is 36 1/3, which is 2/3s larger. However, these shoes are way comfortable in the correct size.
By Fit4Walking from St Louis on 05/03/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good shoes!! Even better with this price!! 2 pieces of advise, first don't lock your knees in this shoe because you will defeat their purpose. Secondly, do not buy if you have unstable ankles or a bad tendency to walk on the outside of your foot/feet because on uneven surfaces you will probably turn your ankle! Other then that buy 'em!!!
By yogamom from michigan on 04/30/2009 Cons: Heel slips, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Comfort Driven Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The heels slipped and the cut made my bunion hurt. I found the shoes otherwise comfortable and well constructed. I sent them back. I'm going to try a sneaker style. I was very pleased with all my interactions with Sierra Trading Post. Great mail order company!
By Jenn from Las Vegas, NV on 04/27/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Versatile Best Uses: Casual Wear, Work Describe Yourself: Style Driven Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a nurse and these shoes feel great all day long. Also they are just like the shoes my friend paid 260.00 for!!! They take some getting used to but after that your feet will never hurt. Also, order a half size larger as the sizing chart suggests.
