Solid Pants-They do twhat they say By Medieval Camper from Lawrence, KS on 05/14/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use them for travel, hiking, and casual days at work. The fabric and fit are great. The shock cord ankles work fine and add a nice alternative look and function to the pants.
I wish they had low-profile zip side pockets but oh well. They really are multi-function pants with a high build quality.
My favorite hiking/travel pants! By DivineNTD from Los Angeles, CA on 05/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Better than fussing around with convertible pants, these pants are comfortable in the widest possible range of weather, leaning towards the hotter climes. Cleverly constructed, as with most Mountain Hardwear. Back pockets are accessible for the front, handy if you're wearing a pack.
For plane travel the plastic buckle is great, one less thing to worry about going through security.
