The construction is good even tho made in China. I live in a rain climate, only visit really cold climates. I think these will be warm and cozy in the house, good for winter and travel (warm feet), they do feel good barefeet. Any shoes made in China are unpredictable for sizing, so try different sizes. I read the warnings about ICE, so I will use caution if I am in that climate. The soles look good but the CROW boots are the really heavy duty Ice/Snow Traction boots. I wish they weren't out of the tall boots!

Meanwhile, the fleece inside promises to keep my feet warm, with good insulation between the bottom of my feet and the cold outdoors.

That said, she did slip the boot on and they seem to run true to size, are cozy and well made. They did arrive with some scuffing along the front so I'd be a bit concerned about wear. I liked the styling as they are similar to some Merrell boots I have. However, she was really looking for more of a fake Ugg style. We found the Bearpaw Eva (in a kids size that fit her) at a local discount store for $29.99 so we were all happy in the end!

I'm a teacher, and I love them for before-school duty on those extra-cold days -- my feet are toasty and the envy of all. Since you wear them with no socks, it's easy to pull them on for the grocery, etc. I was delighted to find them in size 10 1/2, which is rare; I also think they're very true to size.
