Comfortable right off the bat! By Slipry from Dayton, Ohio on 08/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I haven't worn these shoes enough to comment on durability. The mesh uppers are obviously not waterproof. I have actually played 3 rounds of golf in these and have not slipped when hitting shots so the traction must be pretty good. We backpacked about 10 miles last Saturday over pretty rugged terrain and my feet were ready for a break at the end, but that's pretty normal for me. I got mine on sale for under $50- so for that price they're a good and maybe great shoe depending on how long it takes me to wear them out!

I've found North Face shoes to be light and durable, and they fit me well.
By troutcannon from Southern Indiana on 07/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: TNF knows outdoor gear. I have worn their shoes faithfully for many years. I fit into the "Clydesdale" category at 6'2" and 235lbs, so support and cushioning that does not degrade is important.

Quality, comfortable shoes, good price By Davidson Student from Davidson, NC on 06/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I just got these trail running shoes to wear around, so I don't have much feedback to offer for the trails, though I imagine they would hold up well. They're really comfortable and are well padded, which is exactly what I was looking for. The traction is good, maybe a little too good, at least for just everyday shoes.
