Apprehensive at first, but catching up.. By Troutcannon from Southern Indiana on 10/20/2009 Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for everyday use. I am a big guy (Clydesdale class, thank you) and these are nice and stable...it's one reason I love TNF shoes. The Boa system seems hinky at first, but it is fast becoming my preferred method of lacing. The knob could be a bit less obtrusive, and as one reviewer noted, it does hit going down stairs on occasion. Overall, I have grown accustomed to the Boa system. It may seem like you can't get them tight enough at first, but it tends to eliminate tight spots in one area of the foot or another.

By Disappointed from Chicago on 04/13/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I returned them. There is an ungainly knob above the heel that is used to tighten laces. It almost looks like those things they attach to products in stores so you don't shoplift. Meanwhile, it doesn't tighten well and rubs against the ledge as you walk down stairs.
