By Chris in Oregon from Columbia River Gorge, OR on 08/03/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Quickly, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Running/Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great pair of shorts. They are long (13 inch inseam) but that is what I wanted. They are comfortable, lightweight and exactly what I was looking for. Great for hiking or walking. I would prefer a cargo style pocket with a horizontal zipper, but the extra pocket is still handy.
Great shorts - buying more By Flip from Tucson on 07/17/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm very happy with these shorts. They are a bit longer than many shorts, hanging just past my kneecap, which is cool. Kinda hybrid knicker-shorts. Nice light material, although the drawback might be that they wear quickly. I've been wearing them several days now and think I'm seeing a bit of wear already. However, at ~[$], I'd like to have a few of these in my drawer and plan to buy more.
By Birddog from OKC on 06/30/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these and the Ranger pants. The shorts just look a little goofy IMO. I wanted some knicker types, but these didn't pass the test so I returned them.

Lightweight and comfortable By The Observer from Southwest Missouri on 06/03/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Dries Quickly, Lightweight Cons: Some single stitching Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Running/Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The lightweight construction makes these shorts a bit more delicate than typical rugged outdoor shorts, but the comfort is well worth it.
I would also add that the size runs slightly small. I typically wear a 33" waist, but the 34" waist fit me perfectly. Not too much difference, but noteworthy.

By Long-time ST customer from Enfield, CT on 05/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Backpacking, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Goldilocks found something that was just right. Not me. I first ordered a 30 waist (I'm usually a 31) and they were WAY too big. Then I ordered a 28 and they were too tight. These were my first Prana shorts. They were comfortable and seemed well made. The zip pocket on the leg would've been good for a cell phone. Wish I could've found a good fit.
