Great travel/hiking pants By Luv2hike from Yakima, WA on 08/13/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable, Stylish Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Very generous sizing; order the smaller size if you are "close" on the sizing chart. It will save you a return/exchange. These pants are incredibly soft yet sturdy enough for the trail, stylish enough for travel.

The pants, when zippered are long on me and I have 29 inch inseam. The shorts are great.
By JMM in Tarrytown from Tarrytown, NY on 07/30/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Some may think these run big. They are very roomy and they are long enough to fit a very tall women. I will definitely have to shorten them by at least 2". However, they are very comfortable and well-constructed.
By ddogg from mpls, mn on 07/28/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've worn these pants pretty much every time I've gone canoeing or camping the past couple of years. From fishing locally to the Boundary Waters, these pants have been versatile, comfy, and they dry unbelievably fast! I love the fact that they convert to shorts, and the zippered side pocket is really useful. I got my first pair a couple years ago, but after all the use, I started to notice some wear so I stocked up on a couple more pairs!
By world traveler from Minneapolis, MN on 07/09/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Good city pants, Hiking Describe Yourself: Professional Guide Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I found these pants perfect for travel. I lead excursions both in cities of Europe and up rivers in out of the way places. These pants serve well in both types of locations. I am 5' 3" so the 29 inch length would be perfect but they did not have it available so I got 31" and will shorten. I normally wear a size 4 and these fit perfectly in Small.
By Tellurian from Bar Harbor, Maine on 03/29/2008 Pros: Good Zippers, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Changeable Weather, Cross-climate Travel, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Convertible pants are great for traveling from a cold climate to a hot climate and back again, or for a long day that starts out cool but may heat up. When these pants arrived, I was concerned that the soft, flannel-like lining inside the waistband would be too hot in the Caribbean, but it was very comfortable. Conversion was easy, with well-made zippers and the fabric is softer than most such pants. They crossed climate very well, launder well, and are comfortable.
By Las Truchas from Jackson Hole on 03/04/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Best Uses: Backpacking, Fly fishing, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Being an avid angler, I am always looking for lightweight and well made quality clothing. These pants are great. The only thing for me that doesn't fit, is that the waist is too high for my build. I prefer pants that sit below the waist. That's not the pant's fault, it's just my personal preference. Otherwise, these pants are great.
