By rainflyready from Middle Tennessee on 03/11/2009 Pros: Nice around town pants Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: 100 % Cotton. A little long, just became the best shorts I have bought. These pants are nice for around town not on the trail, period!
By Farnorth from Peters Hills Alaska on 02/07/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wore these pants almost daily for a month rafting/hiking in the Grand Canyon in November, and found them to be very comfortable even under a dry suit. They are thick enough for scrambling through the rocks, and took abrasion well. The zips seem to be coming unstitched where they start together, but this has not really effected the attachment noticably.

By Like to hike from Alaska on 11/19/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The waist is true to size but the legs are huge...a lot of fabric wentinto making these pants!
By Mountain Goat from Western Slope, CO. on 11/13/2008 Cons: Bulky, Poor Fit, Very baggy thru seat Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants were the wrong pants for my reasonably slim body. No avid hiker would feel comfortable on the trail with these pants.

These pants fit, are comfortable, durable and smart. Longer zip-off shorts than most (a good thing!). I've worn these in many settings, and they've always been just perfect.
By Wife from Midwest on 08/18/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Motorcycle Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Pants were easy to hem to husband inseam. Weight of material was what I hoping for. We travel on the motorcycle and were looking for dual duty clothing. This convertible pants were of the correct weight for pants and shorts. I am hopeful they will hold up to the test of time and comfort.[...]

Appropriate weight of cotton.
Great casual pair of kahki pants with convertability to shorts as a bonus.
One can feel the zipper occassionally on the thigh, but it doesn't snag.
